I haven't given any real updates on our move to Atlanta, because there is a lot to update and I didn't know where to start. I figured I would start with one of my favorite parts of Atlanta. Coming from a small town (to say the least) where Will and I have both lived at for the better part of a decade, we had kind of run out of things to do. Even though we had only dated and have been married for two years in Clemson, we were already cycling through some previous date nights. It's important to us to go on at least one date a week to make sure that we are getting some good quality time together. The great thing about Atlanta is that there is so much to do that we don't have to cycle through previous date nights again unless we want to! Here are some of the ones we have been on since we have moved here: Mini golfing in a pirate ship....the most difficult course I have ever been on Medieval Times for Will's Birthday. Don't judge us. If we don't do the touristy stuff now, we never will. The Botanical Garden's Christmas light event Nutcracker!

Our CP group went apple picking this past Saturday at skytop orchard. Sadly its nearly impossible to keep such a large group together while doing something like apple picking but we had a lot of fun hanging out with the Hills when everyone else went behind a line of trees and disappeared. Our two favorite kinds of apples were technically not picking but when we passed by those trees, they had so many apples that they were dropping a third of their apples to the ground already. Will and I picked a bushel of apples. We are looking forward to making our favorite pioneer woman recipes! We lost the rest of the group....but we still had a blast! Look at all the apples on this tree! I have no idea why it was closed because the apples where already passing being ripe and were dropping to the ground right and left. We finally caught up with the rest of the group and they had a successful day as well. I'm glad that we got to spend time with everyone!
So this past weekend, on Saturday, Will and I decided to go to the Anderson speedway for a demolition derby. It was a lot of fun. We saw dozens of cars crashed and destroyed...not your typical date night but I feel like it is a quintessential cultural event here in the south. (btw I hope you enjoy all of the background people throughout the pictures) We enjoyed seeing that not only were both of our current cars represented that night, but they were both painted pink In the Gauntlet, all the cars ganged up against a steel covered van in an attempt to take it out Last but not least....the demolition derby So in a nutshell that was our Saturday...A good date night I would say
